i9 Sports Returns to Play Safely!
While returning to play is super exciting, the safety of your family remains our top priority. We want to assure you that getting back to fun at i9 Sports will not come at the expense of safety. As such, we have created and undertaken a rigorous "Return to Play Safely" protocol to protect the safety of your family and all our participants. This season, you will notice a few new things during game day, including the following safety measures:
· Equipment will be disinfected before, during and after activities.
· We will limit the number of spectators at the venue by asking that only one parent/guardian per player be in attendance (this request will be adjusted as social distancing and group size restrictions are lifted)
· Social distancing measures will be implemented on sidelines and celebrations will be modified:
· Spectators will stand 6 feet apart from others and from the sidelines.
· No high fives, handshakes or intentional physical contact
· Staff, parents and participants will be required to stay home if they or anyone they have come in contact with is sick.
· No team snacks or drinks.
· We will have hand sanitizer available at all of our events and will kindly request that all participants utilize the hand sanitizer upon arrival to the field.
We appreciate your understanding, patience and adherence to our new protocols.
i9 Sports has also recently rolled out a volleyball program for boys and girls ages 7-16 in Davenport. Our volleyball program is 1 day per week (practice and games are the same day). The i9 Sports volleyball program is played indoors or outdoors in a 4 v 4 or 6 v 6 format. Small team sizes allow your child to get maximum touches on the ball. The game is designed to keep kids moving, engaged and learning new skills. With modified court sizes and rules, the i9 Sports format is the perfect way to teach kids ages 7 - 16 the fundamentals of volleyball while developing their hand-eye coordination, agility, and overall athletic skills. And best of all, it comes with all the benefits you’ve come to expect from i9 Sports: fun, safety, and emphasis on good sportsmanship.
